Senator Rick Jones is serving his first term on the board and is currently serving on the Governance Committee. He has also served on the Development & Marketing Committee. He was elected to the Michigan Senate and represents the residents of the 24th District (Allegan, Barry, and Eaton counties). Jones served as a Representative from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, Jones worked in law enforcement as former Sheriff of Eaton County. Jones has been active with Area 8's program. He is the parent of an athlete and served as a chaperone for Area 8. He is also a Polar Plunge participant. He lives in Grand Ledge with his wife, Charlene. They have a son and daughter, Kate and Charlie, and three grandchildren.
