2010 Torch Run Week

Over 1,000 miles was covered during the 2010 Torch Run Week (an event sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run).

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) of Michigan celebrated its 29th anniversary in September with its 750-mile, non-stop, 5-day relay run September 13-17 from Copper Harbor in the Tip of the Upper Peninsula to Sterling Heights in the bottom of the Thumb. Three teams of six runners took on the challenge. The teams included Michigan State Police, Fraternal Order of Police and Michigan Department of Corrections. Each runner ran five miles at a time, averaging eight minutes a mile. Thank you to all of those who ran, donated, supported and cheered!
