Directions: Trestle Park provides access to the 7 mi (11 km) Kiwanis Trail System that runs between Adrian and Tecumseh. There is plenty of green space for recreational opportunities, picnics and more.

Registration: 8:00 a.m.

Race Time: 9:00 a.m.

Cost: $18 if registered by May 6, 2011
- - $22 after May 6, 2011
  - $16 for all Special Olympians
  - $12 for kids 10 and under participating in the 1 mile race

Special Olympics Michigan will hold its first 5k/1 Mile Run-Walk-Roll on May 21 at Trestle Park in Adrian. Funds generated will go to Special Olympics Michigan athletes of Area 29 (Lenawee and Hillsdale counties).

The purpose of the event is to generate money for athletes to participate in Special Olympics competitions and activities. The event is open to the community. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome.

Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group - male and female.
