Celebrating a 29-Year Partnership with the General Motors Men’s and Women’s Clubs

2008 State Soccer Tournament |
The Special Olympics Michigan State Soccer & Cycling Finals will draw about 1,100 athletes, coaches and volunteers to the GM Tech Center and Halmich Park in Warren on October 16 & 17. For 29 years the General Motors Men’s and Women’s Clubs have helped us host the event with the help of General Motors. General Motors employees have been so extremely supportive by volunteering their time to help with all aspects of the Games including assisting at the competitions and cheering on athletes. The GM Tech Center hosts Opening Ceremonies, meetings, cycling competitions and even the athlete’s dance. “Our athletes look forward every year to going to the beautiful GM Tech Center and seeing the cars in the lobby,” said Chief Program Officer Ann Guzdzial.
These are challenging times for non-profits and the automotive industry. So we celebrate and thank the General Motors Men’s and Women’s Clubs for a partnership that has spanned nearly three decades. We welcome the community to come out to support the athletes and thank our host sponsor for their support all these years. Click here for more details about the State Soccer & Cycling Finals.
