Athletes battle weather, finish strong at State Fall Games

State Fall Games returns to Southeast Michigan

More than 1,600 Special Olympics Michigan athletes will make their way to southeast Michigan from September 20-22 for the sixth annual Special Olympics Michigan State Fall Games presented by Real Estate One Charitable Foundation.

Handy Middle School makes ESPN Honor Roll

Handy Middle School in Bay City is one of only 34 schools across the U.S. to be named to the 2019 ESPN Honor Roll. The honor comes as part of ESPN's Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools National Recognition Program.

BORSTon Marathon

Julian Borst made history as the first SOMI athlete to run the Boston Marathon. Borst finished the Patriot's Day race in just over 3 hours, 5 minutes.
