Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) is pleased to announce that Jennifer VanSkiver has joined its leadership team in a newly created position, Chief Officer of Strategic Growth.

Sunday, January 30th, the Wertz Warriors will take off on their annual week-long, 900-mile snowmobile endurance ride from Clinton Township to Mackinaw City, raising money and awareness for Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI).

(DETROIT, Mich.) – It was a record-breaking evening at Ford Field for the return of the in-person Ties and Tennies Gala for Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI). The November 5th event, presented by Real Estate One Charitable Foundation (REOCF) raised more than $255,000 dollars, making 2021 the most profitable year for the annual fundraiser. Guests were able to attend the event in-person or participate from home virtually.

STATEWIDE – After weeks of training and anticipation, Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) marked their return to competition this weekend with the State Summer Games presented by SpartanNash.

Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) announced the Building Tomorrow’s Champions campaign, a multi-million-dollar fundraising effort to renovate and transform the former South Christian High School into the world’s largest Special Olympics facility.

The 2021 State Summer Games presented by SpartanNash will return for an in-person and virtual competition hybrid event!
